jackmix19841 StarWorst behavior I have ever seen at a clinic. Here are just some examples I experienced after we admitted my mother to this location. My 75-year-old father was sent a threatening letter from Almaden, claiming he owes them $57,000. The letter expressed that the clinic would terminate my paralyzed mother’s hospice care, unless my father pays them. My father proved to them through the insurance documentation and medical dates, he doesn’t owe them, because the clinic did not contact my mother’s insurance.
We then were scheduled for a meeting with Phil Greene. Seven other staff members were also in the room, intentionally distracting my father, while one nurse slid over a paper and tried to get him to quickly sign it. He stopped all conversations in the room and read the paper, which stated he would be responsible for all insurance costs to Almaden. He handed the paper back to them, explaining that the clinic failing to inform the correct insurance company, is not his responsibility.
They also have an accusatory staff. When asked to describe my mother’s nurse. I was called a racist, for saying “filipino nurse,” by a RN named June.
The patient coordinator named Agnes Santos, never interacted with my mother, but called me numerous times with questions about her. Such as, how many showers and walks my mother takes each day. My paralyzed mother was obviously incapable of this, so I asked if she knew anything about my mom. She then accused me of being distracted at work and too busy, then hung up on me, while I was responding to her.
This was the worst behaved clinical staff I have ever encountered.Saturday 30th July 2022
Sabi1 StarThis place is seriously looking for a lawsuit. I’ve never seen so much incompetence with the staff. Witnessed Darius, the LVN, go into the covid unit side with no PPE, while most of the staff were in PPE and then witnessing him entering the non-covid (regular non infectious patient side) side of the facility in his regular clothes (not even in scrubs). Nothing was set up for admission of a patient (bed wasn’t made, no concentrator for oxygen). The kicker, we witnessed Darius taking a patient report on his personal phone! Hello HIPAA violation, your notes are on iCloud now. I don’t know any nursing school that teaches us to take patient report on phones (even if it’s a work phone). And to end this review, he wasn’t wearing any gloves while typing away on his phone as he walked out of the (pretty useless) covid unit, no hand hygiene even. The other reviewers are correct, don’t send your loves here. Horrible staff, period. And I can tell, they’re going to play victim and blame everyone else but themselves for their shortcomings after reading my review. Good luck everyone else!Saturday 18th February 2023
serenity prime5 StarThe nurses, and staff are amazing! Everyone listens to your concerns with open ears. Certain staff members aren't my favorite, but as long as the patient is getting the best care possible. Im happy!! Will make sure my loved one always comes here! In order to prepare asap to go home. Thanks again to the nurses, and staff!Thursday 28th March 2019
Triquetra Wings5 StarThis location / company has comprehensive, quality healthcare; and, the entire staff, as a whole, is by far, the most competent, compassionate, and patient oriented team our family has ever come across. The facility meets its patients needs, is safe, and, is clean. There are on-going, awesome, and, diverse activities every day of the week. The “care” is superior! If a patient or family member has a need, a concern, or even a question, these hard working, professional, and, enthusiastic staff members, follow through to completion.
If you are considering any facilty for you or a loved one, remember, when it comes to expecting certain demands from “any” facility, including this one, patients and family members need to “communicate” with the staff, so they can meet any and all of your expectations and needs. You are part of the team. Your voice is heard and welcomed.
If you choose Almaden Health and Rehab Center, rest assured the patient is in the best of care possible. Anyone having the need to even consider a facility, already grasps the complexity and difficulty of such a decision, We highly reccommend Almaden Health and Rehab Center, not because of its chandeliers and gold trim, but because, as a whole, it is an exemplary facility!Sunday 18th March 2018
